Our Check-In time starts at 3:00 PM ET / local hotel time. Should you arrive earlier and your room is not yet ready, we are happy to store your luggage for you while you head out to explore New York.

Yes! The Empire is proud to be one of the rare hotels with an outdoor swimming pool in NYC. Our Rooftop Plunge Pool is open seasonally, weather permitting, each day from late May to mid-September. The Empire Hotel is entirely non-smoking, including all guest rooms and suites. A penalty charge will be applied to rooms where evidence of smoking is found.

The Empire Hotel offers flexible, free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to arrival when you Book Direct on our official website. Your credit card will be pre-authorized for the full cost of your room, taxes and fees, and an additional $150 for incidental charges on arrival. Upon check out, your credit card is charged for the final folio amount, and remaining authorization will be released.
