The 79th Annual United Nations General Assembly will convene in New York City this September, welcoming global leaders, diplomats, and heads of state from all 193 member countries. Founded in 1945, the United Nations is an international organization committed to fostering diplomacy, global cooperation, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
The UNGA General Debate, a central part of the Assembly, begins on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, and includes addresses by presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers from around the globe. Throughout the month, high-level meetings, side events, and bilateral discussions will take place across the city.
