The Sound of Music on Broadway

One of Broadway’s best-known musicals returns as Lincoln Center Theater presents a new revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Featuring favorites including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Edelweiss” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” the musical tells the story of Maria and the von Trapp family against the backdrop of pre-war Austria. The production marks the musical’s first Broadway revival in nearly 30 years and plays just across the street from the Empire Hotel, making the hotel a perfect home base for a Broadway weekend at Lincoln Center. The Sound of Music runs from March 2027 through Summer 2027.
